1.) Israel’s Harsh Treatment
– This was a time where Israel was not doninant, but rather they were being dominated by the Roman Empire.
-Not only was their persecution from their ruling government, but there was also harsh treatment coming from their own religious leaders. MATTHEW 23:1-4
– Justice, Righteousness and Judgement was definitely a constant desire of the men and women of Israel.
-They were awaiting the Messiah and the come of the “Kingdom of God”
2.) Judgment of the Lord
-The Messiah would execute Justice
